That’s a great starting point for restaurants using Twitter. My biggest suggestion is to cross promote the store and their Twitter presence. Obviously you should link your Twitter account to your restaurant’s website. But where most restaurants fall short is promoting their Twitter presence in the store. For starters – put your Twitter name on your menu.

Thanks for your comment Andy! You make an excellent point. Twitter isn’t just for getting new customers, but engaging your current customers. Putting your Twitter handle on menus is a great way to get your current customers to know about your Twitter presence.
